2nd Expert Workshop

On 23/10/2018 the second workshop of the CARIMA project took place in Frankfurt. The concept of the project was presented and critically discussed to the asset managers as a holistic approach and numerous possible applications for determining the carbon risk of shares, funds, bonds as well as at country and sector level were discussed.  Extensive application possibilities of the carbon risk factor in various areas such as hedging, stress testing, factor investing, best-in-class approaches or reporting were also reflected in detail.

We would like to thank the participants again for the interesting, critical and open discussion as well as for the numerous contributions to the improvement of the CARIMA concept and its applications.

1st Expert Workshop

On 10/04/2018 the first workshop of the CARIMA project took place in Frankfurt. The concept of the project was presented in its wholety to the Sustainable Finance experts present and critically discussed as well as the key aspects of evaluation of ESG databases and data selection, data scoring, portfolio and factor construction and numerous applications of the CARIMA concept in science and practice were reflected in detail.

At this point we would like to thank the participants once again for the interesting, critical and open discussion and for the numerous contributions to the improvement of the CARIMA concept.

SWFA Annual Meeting 2018

The working paper “Carbon Risk” by Maximilian Görgen, Andrea Jacob, Martin Nerlinger, Ryan Riodan, Martin Rohleder and Marco Wilkens was accepted for presentation at the Southwestern Finance Association Annual Meeting in Albuquerque, New Mexico (7 March – 10 March 2018).

The Working Paper “Carbon Risk” by Maximilian Görgen, Andrea Jacob, Martin Nerlinger, Ryan Riordan, Martin Rohleder and Marco Wilkens was accepted for presentation at the Midwest Finance Association 2018 Annual Meeting in San Antonio, Texas (March 1 – March 3, 2018).

Knowledge Database published

The first version of the knowledge base is online. It provides an overview of numerous scientific journal articles as well as the diverse range of gray literature and international reports in the field of Carbon Risk Management. The database is updated at regular intervals and gradually expanded with additional information.
